HHS Science Expo

Honors science students of all grades at Herndon High School displayed Science Expo projects Jan. 19 and 21 in the school's library.

David Tripp, physics teacher, said each science teacher assigned his or her class the project — some choosing themes, others offering students the choice to pick their own.

Project themes included the importance and effects of Vitamin C, the effects of Clorox bleach on blueberry, mustard and red cough syrup stains and the "New Way to Protect Astronauts" demonstrating how space debris and space centers could be better insulated and protected.

Tripp said although all projects were on display in the library for classes to see, only selected students will be chosen by teachers to compete in the upcoming regional Science Expo.
