On Dec. 15, the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce held its annual meeting and holiday luncheon, presented by Inova Alexandria
Hospital .
Committee Chair of the Year went to John Renner for his work on the U. S. Patent and Trademark Office task force and other committee involvement.
Board Member of the Year was Shawn McLaughlin because of his over-all Board participation.
The Edward Stabler Community Service Award was given to the Rotary Club of Alexandria. Harry Hart accepted the award for the club.
Ann Dorman was named Member of the Year because of her general participation in the Chamber.
Finally, the Chairman’s Award was presented to Comcast because of their many contributions to the Chamber and for their work in the community. Marie Schuler accepted the award on behalf of Comcast.
The luncheon was so well attended that there were no seats left in the room. The Chamber is continuing with its service to Alexandria ’s business community for 2005.
