Playing For Tsunami Relief

Two mothers help organize a fund-raiser for American Red Cross at Gymboree in Springfield.

A pair of Springfield moms turned playtime at the Gymboree playroom at the Springfield Mall into another outlet for helping relief efforts for tsunami victims in Asia.

Lisa Croney and Kelly Lizarraga organized "Fun, Games and Giving," which took place on Tuesday for stay-at-home moms who wanted to bring their children to take classes at the Gymboree. The store agreed to donate all proceeds from the 10:15 a.m.-1:30 p.m., classes to the American Red Cross, to help with its ongoing tsunami relief efforts.

"We're really passionate, especially when it comes to kids," said Croney. "The Mall has been really great in helping us out."
