Man Stabbed

While breaking up a fight at a Loudoun County residence, a Reston resident was stabbed in the stomach last Thursday night, June 15.

Ò[The victim] went over to a residence near where he works around 7 p.m.,Ó said Kraig Troxell, public information officer at the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office. ÒThere was an altercation and he tried to break it up and he was stabbed.Ó

After the incident, the 33-year-old man went to the emergency room of Reston Hospital, but was transferred to Inova Fairfax Hospital when doctors determined the injuries to be life threatening. As of Friday, the victim was listed in stable condition.

Deputies in Loudoun County were informed of the incident at 11:21 p.m., but the victim was not able to remember where the incident took place, according to Troxell.

Based on the limited information provided by the victim, deputies from the SheriffÕs Office tried to find the house where the incident took place, around the Route 50-Route 606 corridor.

ÒUnfortunately, [the victim] did not know exactly where the incident occurred,Ó said Troxell. ÒHe wasnÕt real cooperative.Ó
