<lst>The Arlington County Chapter of the American Red Cross (ARC) is holding a Gala to honor the WWII veterans and Red Cross workers of Arlington County. They are conducting a search for WWII veterans and Red Cross workers who reside in Arlington County to honor as part of the evening. Criteria are: living servicemen, servicewomen and Red Cross workers who were part of WWII, received an honor as part of their service or have continued to volunteer. Information needed includes: veteran's name, address, phone number, e-mail, service/branch, years served, a sentence-or-two summary of WWII experience and any awards given during service or volunteer experience with the Red Cross. Also needed is the source name and contact information, in case of the need for a follow-up, and a digital or hard-copy picture for use during the gala event. Label the back of the picture. Air Force Airman Lani K. Roy has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. Roy's parents are Shirley Roy of Franklin, Mass., and James Roy of N. Edison St., Arlington. The airman is a 2003 graduate of Franklin High School.

Navy Seaman Recruit Igin J. Pauldas, son of Ida B. and Nallathamby Pauldhas of Arlington, recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill. Pauldas is a 2002 graduate of Yorktown High School.

Navy Seaman Apprentice Jorge Rivera, son of Cristina and Antonio Rivera of Arlington, recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill. Rivera is a 2003 graduate of Wakefield High School of Arlington.

Army Pfc. Carolyn L. McClary has graduated from the Land Combat Electronic Missile System Repairer Advanced Individual Training course at Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, Ala. The course is designed to train soldiers to troubleshoot and repair land combat electronic missile systems, including tube-launched, optically-sensed, wire-guided (TOW) missiles, Dragon weapon systems and associated components; perform quality control measures, and inspect, adjust, repair and replace defective assemblies, sub-assemblies, and related components and parts on missile systems. She is the daughter of Michael V. McClary of S. Orme St., Arlington, and Charlene C. McClary of Cypress Landing W., Winter Haven, Fla.

Marine Corps Pvt. Craig E. Roberts, a 2003 graduate of Bishop Denis J. O'Connell High School, Arlington, recently completed 12 weeks of basic training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, S.C.
