The Long & Foster Companies, the largest privately-owned residential real estate and related financial services company in America, reported March 2005 total sales of $6.1 billion for the month, an increase of 17 percent over March 2004. It was the best March in the company's 37-year history.

Kim Owsley has recently joined the Weichert, Realtors Fairfax office as a sales associate.

The Debbie Dogrul Team of the Long & Foster Fairfax office was recently named top producer and team with the most new listings for the month of March.

Gail Dinkin of the Long & Foster Fairfax office was recently named second-place top producer for the month of March.

Natalie McArtor of the Long & Foster Fairfax office was recently named third-place top producer for the month of March.

The Fairfax office of Long & Foster Real Estate was recently named one of the top five privately-owned brokers on the 2005 REAL Trends 500 Report, which is published by REAL Trends.

Weichert, Realtors recently partnered with Secure the Call to collect used cell phones for organizations that place 911 emergency calls. These organizations include police departments, neighborhood watch groups, senior citizen centers, domestic violence organizations and school systems. About 25 Weichert offices located throughout Maryland, Virginia and Washington, D.C., held collections for Secure the Call, resulting in nearly 350 phones donated to the organization. Secure the Call will now test, clean, recharge and reprogram the phones for 911 calls only and then distribute them to local organizations in need.
