The Classroom of Discovery offers a two- or three-day per week program for ages 2 1/2-5. Two different one day per week adult-child introductory programs for ages 18-36 months are also available. The Classroom of Discovery is a preschool program in Sterling that combines creative expression, imaginative play, storytelling and physical fitness. The YMCA Loudoun County will hold camp early bird registration Thursday, May 19, from 6-8 p.m., at the YMCA Loudoun County Office in Leesburg. Register your child for camp that night, and the Y will waive the membership fee. Call the YMCA office at 703-777-9622 or visit the Web site at http://www.ymcawashdc.org. Y camps are offered at JRÕs Festival Lakes, Seldens Landing Elementary School, Sanders Corner Elementary School, Horizon Elementary School, Forest Grove Elementary School, basketball camp only and Algonkian Regional Park. The YMCA Loudoun County offers free before and after care at all locations.

Ashburn Presbyterian Church invites children to join in the adventure of Serengeti Trek: Where Kids Are Wild About God's Love. The program will provide fun, memorable Bible-learning activities for children ages 4 to fifth grade. Each day will include songs, teamwork-building games, Bible adventures, Bible Memory Buddies and Bible Point Crafts to take home and play with all summer long. Additionally, participants will join nearly a million children in North America and take part in a hands-on mission project that will reach needy children in Africa. Serengeti Trek takes place June 20-24, at Ashburn Presbyterian Church located at 20962 Ashburn Road each day, from 9 a.m.-12:00 p.m., and will conclude with a special program on June 24, at 7 p.m., where the children will come together to tell about their adventure. Bethel OP Church would like to invite all children ages 4-12 to attend its free vacation bible school - Faith Expedition: God's Treasure Revealed. Snacks and lots of fun learning provided. The Douglass Community Center is offering Adventures in Science summer camp for children ages 4-7 years old. Includes experiments and hands-on learning while making take-home projects. Each camp offers different science

topics. Camp is offered two weeks throughout the summer, on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, June 20-24, 12:30-1:15 p.m.; and July 25-29, 1:30-2:15 p.m. The cost for each camp session is $38 plus an $18 supply fee, which is payable to the instructor on the first day of camp. The Paladin Program at Chesterbrook Academy is accepting registration for the Paladin Academic Summer Camp, to be held at two Chesterbrook locations: 46100 Woodshire Drive, Sterling and 3753 Centerview Drive, Chantilly. For students in need of educational intervention, enrichment, and/or retention of previously learned concepts. It is a highly structured program with a very small student-to-teacher ratio. The camp will run from June 20-Aug. 12 and students can sign up for two-week increments. Galilee United Methodist Church will be offering a Performing Arts Day Camp for rising second-sixth graders, July 25-29, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. The final performance will be 7 p.m. Friday evening. Directed by The Leavening Agency, a Christian organization specializing in creative children's programming in churches and schools. There are no auditions and every participant is encouraged to choose what he or she wants to do: music: singing, hand chimes and rhythm instruments; performance skills: drama and acting; choreography: movement and sign language; stagecraft: scenery painting. KidSpirit Triple Sports Day Camp for rising second graders-sixth graders, Aug. 1-5, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Directed by The Leavening Agency, a Christian organization specializing in creative children's programming in churches and schools. All campers will work on basic basketball, soccer and volleyball skills and each participant can choose one of these sports for more advanced instruction. There are no tryouts and every participant is encouraged to choose what he or she wants to do. The cost is $150 per child, early bird special $135 before March 2.
