Leadership Fairfax Inc. (LFI) announces that its president and CEO, Susan Horne, is to be awarded a Distinguished Leadership Award by the Community Leadership Association. Dan Jackson of Leadership Fairfax and John Murphy of Leadership Arlington were also award winners.
Forty-five individuals across the United States will be awarded the Community Leadership Association’s (CLA) 2005 Distinguished Leadership Award. CLA is an international membership association of organizations and individuals dedicated to strengthening and transforming communities through leadership development and each year it seeks to recognize exceptional community leadership program graduates. Recipients are nominated by their local leadership programs for exemplifying the spirit and goals for civic involvement and trusteeship.
The 2005 International Distinguished Leadership Awards were awarded at the Annual Leadership Conference in Atlanta, Ga., Friday, April 29.

The Greater Reston Newcomers and Neighbors Club will install 2005-06 officers at a fashion show luncheon on May 17 at the Hidden Creek Country Club. Janice Shea, former Board member, was elected president.
