10 Months Jail for Peeping

A Chantilly man was sentenced last week to 10 months in jail for peeping. He is Troy Millard, 35, of 14514 Iberia Circle in the Dulles Meadows community.

The incident occurred on Feb. 25. Fairfax County police officers were summoned at midnight to the 14000 block of National Drive — in the same community where Millard lives — for a peeping complaint. According to police, a 12-year-old Chantilly girl had been watching TV with two 13-year-old friends when they noticed a man standing outside the window.

They said the man left and then returned to the window — this time, using a step ladder to look inside. Evidence at the scene and witness statements led police to arrest Millard at his home. They charged him with peeping into an occupied dwelling and took him to the Adult Detention Center.

He appeared last Monday, May 9, in General District Court, where he was convicted of the peeping charge. Judge Michael Cassidy then sentenced Millard to 12 months in jail, suspending two months, for 10 months total to serve.
