<cal1>Destruction of Property

<lst>900 block Alabama Drive. Oct. 30, 7:40 p.m. Glass door was shattered.

<cal1>DUI Arrests

<lst>Elden Street and Herndon Parkway. Oct. 28, 11:57 p.m. Christopher Jason Hopkins, a 26-year-old male of Leesburg, was arrested and transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center. He was also charged with Driving on a Revoked License Habitual and given a summons for being in Possession of a Radar Detector.

<cal1>Larceny

<lst>1200 block Elden Street. Oct. 29, 1:15 a.m. A cell phone was taken out of an unsecured vehicle.

<cal1>Other Violations

<lst>1000 block Alabama Drive. Oct. 26, 6:40 a.m. According to police reports, Saul Alberto Joel Gomez, a 32-year-old male of Reston, was arrested and charged with driving on a suspended license. He was released on a summons.

900 block Alabama Drive. Oct. 27, 9:31 a.m. According to police reports, Oscar Armando Vasquez, a 20-year-old male of Herndon, was arrested and charged with possession of alcohol by an underaged person. He was released on a summons.

900 block Alabama Drive. Oct. 28, 10:43 a.m. According to police reports, Juan Francisco Morales, a 21-year-old male of Herndon, was arrested for Possession of Marijuana. He was transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center.

1200 block Elden Street. Oct. 28, 4:22 p.m. Complainant stated that a check she had lost was cashed by someone.

<hdr15>Police Notes

<lst>The Greater Herndon Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 64 has donated $3,165 raised during their recent motorcycle poker run to two charities. The money will be divided between the Calling all Cars campaign and the Shelly A. Marshall Foundation.

The Calling all Cars campaign is for law enforcement families that suffered a loss during Hurricane Katrina. Over 80 percent of law enforcement officers in the area lost their homes.

The Shelly A. Marshall Foundation is dedicated to enriching the lives of children and adults alike by setting up creative writing contests in high schools and colleges, story hours for children, summer art workshops and intergenerational tea parties at nursing homes.
