Dessert Concert Series

The VOCE Chamber Singers are scheduled to be the next performers of St. Timothy's Episcopal Church's dessert concert series. Scheduled for Dec. 2 at 8 p.m., the concert will include a Christmas Cantata by Daniel Pinkham and highlight popular and classical holiday music from around the globe. Voce, a voice chorus now in its 11th season is recognized as one of the Washington, D.C. area's premier chamber choral groups.

Live Nativity

Southview Baptist Church is scheduled to celebrate the holiday season with "Living Nativity" — complete with sheep, goats, donkeys and a camel — on Friday, Dec. 2 and Saturday, Dec. 3 from 7 to 9 p.m. Southview Baptist Church is located at Reston Parkway and Foxmill Road. Call 703-860-8800.

Holiday Shop

St. Timothy's Episcopal Church Annual Holiday Shop featuring crafts and small business vendors will be held on Dec. 3 from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Enjoy holiday shopping with a wide variety of gifts for everyone without the hustle, bustle and hassle of shopping malls and overcrowded stores. Glory Days Grill

Help military families in the community by dining at Glory Days Grill Monday through Thursday, 4 p.m. to close, or Sunday, 11:30 a.m. to close. When residents dine on the designated nights, the restaurant will contribute 10 percent of the total food bill to Reston-based Salute Our ServicesTM. Founded by Herndon resident Tricia Johnson, Salute Our ServicesTM is a non-profit agency that helps military reserve families find resources and offers emotional support when spouses are deployed. Ask servers for a copy of the guest check, not the credit card receipt, and give or mail to: Salute Our Services, 2100 Reston Parkway, Suite 300, Reston, Va. 20171. Clearview Holiday Fair

Clearview Elementary is scheduled to hold a Holiday Craft Fair, Friday, Dec. 2, from 6 to 8 p.m. Vendors interested in selling at the fair are encouraged to sign up. For more information call 703-318-7852. Clearview is located at 12635 Builders Road in Herndon.

General Nutrition Center Vitamin Drive

Two locally owned Herndon General Nutrition Centers are sponsoring a children's vitamin drive to benefit the Herndon Free Clinic. Fox Mill and Franklin Farm GNC owner Grace Wolf will match every box of regularly priced children's multivitamins purchased for donation to the Herndon Free Clinic with another box. Shoppers can leave their business card marked "Herndon Free Clinic" or a note with their purchase and GNC will deliver all donated and purchased vitamins to the Herndon Free Clinic. Both store locations are also accepting small cash donations to purchase additional children's vitamins at cost for the Herndon Free Clinic. Teen After-school Program

Teenagers 12 to 17 are invited to the Herndon Community Center for an afternoon of refreshments and a movie — free. Teen Cinema is held the second and fourth Thursday of every month from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. All movies are rated PG or PG-13.
