Golden's Top Campaign Contributors

In his bid to replace outgoing Del. Jim Dillard (R-41) in the House of Delegates, Republican Michael Golden has collected $176,436 in campaign contributions.

Heading into the final stretch of the campaign, Golden had spent $90,441 and reported $86,093 remaining on hand in his campaign account, according to the non-partisan Virginia Public Access Project, which tracks campaign finance in Virginia.

Golden's top 10 campaign contributors are:

1. Virginia Conservative Action PAC, which has given Golden's campaign $31,162. The organization, known as VCAP, supports candidates who favor limited government and want to cut taxes.

2. David K. Rensin, CEO of Q-Know Technologies, an information technology firm based in Reston, who has given Golden $31,000.

3. Virginia Republican House Campaign Committee, which supports Republican nominees for the House of Delegates, has contributed $11,206 to Golden in in-kind contributions, including polling and his campaign manager's salary.

4. All Children Matter, an Alexandria-based interest group that supports school vouchers, which gave Golden $9,925 in cash and in-kind services, including political mailings.

5. Dominion Leadership Trust, a political action committee run by House Speaker Bill Howell (R-28), which has contributed $7,500 to Golden's campaign.

6. Federal Victory Fund, a political action committee run by U.S. Rep. Tom Davis (R-11), which has given Golden $5,000.

7. Paul C. Jost, a Williamsburg property manager who finances conservative Republican candidates and causes, who has given Golden $5,000.

8. John Betts, a Springfield attorney, who has contributed $4,701 in cash and in-kind services.

9. Conservative Victory PAC, a political organization based in Bristow, Va. which has contributed $3,653 to Golden's campaign.

10. Whitlock Group, an audio-visual technology firm based in Louisa County, which has given Golden $3,000.
