Bus Tour. The Friends of Fort Ward will sponsor a day-long bus tour to Chancellorsville, the site of the May 1863 battle considered by many to be Gen. Robert E. Lee’s “masterpiece”. The tour will be led by military historian and author Brig. Gen. Phillip Bolte. Advance reservations are required and must be made by October 5. The fee is $75 for current members of the Friends of Fort Ward and $85 for non-members. Transportation, a box lunch and refreshments are included in the fee.
