<sh>Rape in Jefferson Park

<bt>A 22-year-old man was arrested in connection with an incident that occurred at 7900 Lee Highway in the Merrifield area, according to Fairfax County Police. On Saturday, Oct. 1 around 8:30 p.m., two 12-year-old girls went to the Jefferson District Park where they met a man who worked there. The three talked and then walked behind a building where the man had inappropriate contact with both of the girls, police said. The girls went home, where one of them told her parents, and the parents contacted the police.

On Friday, Oct. 7, Edebiri Tempitope Aihevba of the 7300 block of Lee Highway in Falls Church was arrested. He was charged with two counts of indecent liberties with a minor and one count of rape. Aihevba was transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center where he was held without bond.

"We obviously had a good description from the girls, and we went back to the park and found him," said police spokesman Officer Bud Walker.
