A Sterling teenager was charged Nov. 30 in connection with the attempted robbery of a Sterling bank the morning of Wednesday, Nov. 29.
According to the Sheriff's Office, Oscar Rosales, 18, of Sterling, allegedly entered the Bank of America in the Dulles Crossing Plaza in Sterling and demanded money from a bank teller. Two employees acted confused about his request and convinced him that they did not have any money on the premises. The suspect immediately left the scene empty handed.
Rosales was being held at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center without bond.
