Annual genealogy conference, sponsored by the Fairfax Genealogical Society. The conference takes place every year in March. The conference is an all-day, in-depth presentation by nationally known genealogists designed to enhance one's genealogical research skills. Members of the Fairfax Genealogical Society receive a discount of $5 off the registration fee.

APRIL

The annual springtime Great Falls Day at the Great Falls Grange Park, 9818 Georgetown Pike, Great Falls. This event brings together the Great Falls community with food, performances, and time outside.

Sundays beginning June 25 at McLean Central Park, 1468 Dolley Madison Blvd., McLean.offers a Summer Sunday Concert Series, hosted by the McLean Community Center. The concerts will be free of charge on the center gazebo. This year's acts include Zydeco Crayz, Iona, Jennifer Cutting's Ocean Orchestra and the Grandsons.

JULY

Community Parade on July 5 at 10 a.m., at Village Centre and Great Falls Shopping Center. Features antique cars, horses, bicycles, floats, fire engines and live music, sponsored by the Great Falls Friends.

The Greater McLean Chamber of Commerce annual membership drive and contest July 19 at the Pavilion at Turkey Run. Taste of Great Falls where each restaurant is given the opportunity to expose its best dishes to the public during the spring weekend. A "fair" is set up and restaurant owners plate their best food and citizens can explore dishes from their favorite restaurants.
