Teen Center

The Net Teen Center is located at Irving Middle School, 8100 Old Keene Mill Road, Springfield. Open during the academic year on Friday, 6-10 p.m., and Saturday, 7-11 p.m., and during the summer Tuesday-Friday, 6-10 p.m., and Saturday, 7-11 p.m. Offers billiards, basketball, board games, ping pong, football, community service, foosball, soccer, art, music, breakdancing. Friends of Fairfax Station

The group helps benefit the Fairfax Station Railroad Museum, 11200 Fairfax Station Road, Fairfax Station. Museum and book shop are open Sunday, 1-4 p.m. Call 703-425-9225 or visit www.fairfax-station.org.

League of Women Voters, Fairfax Station Unit

The League is a non-partisan citizen's group, not just for women despite its name. The group researches governmental issues that members agree need looking into and may agree to a position, through a careful consensus process, which the group then promotes in the community. The unit meets the second Wednesday of every month at 9:30 a.m., at 7902 Bracksford Court, Fairfax Station.
