The historic Pleasant Grove Church in McLean held its annual fair "Pleasant Grove Day," Saturday, May 6. This year's event featured the Pleasant Grove Antique Roadside Show appraisals, which enabled guests to bring personal items for expert appraisal. Annuals and perennials were available for purchase, as were homemade baked goods, stained glass by Bill Banks, and paintings by local artists Katharine Elizabeth Smith and Joan Dimond. Sylvia Gaskins, a longtime member of Friends of Pleasant Grove Church, contributed a handmade quilt to the fair's raffle. In addition, custom made birdhouses and a handmade wooden chest were available for sale in the fair's Silent Auction.
