Loudoun Youth Soccer Association’s Loudoun Rage, an all-girls travel soccer team, will be picking up trash along Loudoun County roads Saturday, June 3. They’re calling it the "Great Garbage Grab-a-thon."
The girls have been sponsored by friends, neighbors and relatives to clean up a piece of Loudoun County.
"It provides a wonderful opportunity for the players to give back to the community while raising funds to support their team," said the event coordinator Pam Cotton. "We will actually be helping clean up our community and make a difference for the environment at the same time."
The soccer team is working with Keep Loudoun Beautiful, who will select the area for the team to cover in approximately four hours.
