Boy Scout Food Drive Collects 10 Tons of Food

About 200 volunteers helped unload 10 to 12 tons of donated food during the Boy Scout Food Drive last Saturday at the Western Fairfax Christian Ministries' facility in Chantilly. A week ago, the Scouts handed out bags to residents in Western Fairfax and then returned to collect them full of food which will be given to needy families.

"It's an awesome blessing to see all this food here and to know how many families we can help," said Mary Ann Conrad, volunteer coordinator. "We want to thank all of the volunteers who were so generous with their time. We couldn't have done it without their help."
