School Security Guard Arrested

A security guard at Washington-Lee High School was arrested on Nov. 15 for engaging in sexual activity in a car with a high school student, police officials said.

Ricardo Ramon Reynoso, 35, was arrested at approximately 5:20 p.m. by Arlington police officers on the 2900 block of South 16th Street. In the car with Reynoso was a 16-year-old Arlington girl.

Reynoso was indicted last week by a grand jury on charges of custodial indecent liberties with a minor, which carries up to five years in prison, said John Lisle, Arlington police spokesman.

Police do not know if Reynoso has engaged in similar activities with other Arlington students, but are asking residents to call police if they have any further information, Lisle said.

Reynoso no longer works at Washington-Lee, school officials said.

"The safety and well-being of our students remains a top priority for all of us at Washington-Lee," Washington-Lee Principal Gregg Robertson wrote in a letter home to parents. "While I cannot share the specific details about the case, I welcome any questions or comments from parents and would be happy to speak to you individually if you have any concerns that you wish to discuss."
