Amelie Gannon, Ellen Gwaltney, Eric Bruce, Daniel Zaleski and Nathan Buniva, all residents of Alexandria, have been named to the Dean's List at Syracuse University. The students must receive a 3.4 or higher grade point average.

Eric Bruce, a senior at Syracuse University, has been nominated for the Student Employee of the Year Award. Bruce was one of the 50 nominated out of 4000 student employees.

Andrew Williams, senior, Amy Hayhurst, senior, Ilona Mostipan, sophmore, and Aria Grabowski, sophomore, were all nmaed to the Spring Dean's List at American University. Students on the Dean's List must obtain a 3.5 or higher grade point average.

The following Virginia Tech students were among those honored at the university's Spring Commencement Ceremony held Friday, May 12, in Lane Stadium. All are from Alexandria. Virginia Gov. Timothy M. Kaine was the keynote speaker at the University Commencement ceremony.
