Man Exposes Himself to Teens
<bt>On Thursday, Oct. 5 at about 3:45 p.m., a 13-year-old and two 14-year-old girls were walking in the 1600 block of Davidson Road toward McLean High School. According to Fairfax County Police, the girls looked across the street and saw a man seated along the wood line. He was completely naked and exposed himself to the victims. The teens told administrators at school, who then called police. Officers were dispatched and searched the wooded area and surrounding neighborhood for over an hour, but were unable to locate the suspect. The suspect is described as white, in his 40s, about 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing about 200 pounds. <sh>Hearing on Georgetown Pike
<bt>On Oct. 23, at 5 p.m. a public hearing is scheduled for a proposal to prohibit through truck traffic on Georgetown Pike between the Capital Beltway and Leesburg Pike, as part of the Residential Traffic Administration program. <sh>MCC Survey Says …
<bt>Beginning Thursday, Oct. 12, the McLean Community Center will begin to “reach out and touch” a random number of McLean tax district residents through a telephone survey. The 11 members of the center’s Governing Board are asking residents of Dranesville Small District 1A to take a few minutes to participate in the survey. The information gathered will be used to determine how the center can best meet residents’ needs as it plans for the future. The survey is confidential and is being conducted through George Mason University’s Center for Social Science Research. It will consist of questions related to tax district residents’ use of the center and their opinions on MCC programs and services. <sh>'Seniors '07' Tag Area
<bt>According to police reports, evidence of a senior prank was seen across the McLean area. Just after midnight Sept. 29, officers found VDOT and county signs painted with “Seniors 07.” Police are still investigating but believe Homecoming events for Langley High School were a factor. The school's football field was also painted. Profane words were found on traffic signs. Numerous other reports were filed in the area to include graffiti on signs and a Fairfax County school bus parked at Cooper Middle School, located at 977 Balls Hill Road. St. Luke’s Catholic Church, at 7005 Georgetown Pike, and St. Luke’s Orthodox Church, at 6801 Georgetown Pike had signs painted. Mailboxes and signs along the following streets were also painted:
Georgetown Pike from I-495 to Chain Bridge Road
Balls Hill Road from Dominion Drive to Chain Bridge Road
1100 block of Waverly Way

<sh>Great Falls Fire Department Open House
<bt>The Great Falls Volunteer Fire Department will host its annual Open House, Saturday, Oct. 14, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at 9916 Georgetown Pike, Great Falls. There will be games such as a smoke crawl and children's fire hose spray, as well as a firefighter dress up, Jaws of Life, and kitchen emergency first aid demonstrations. There will also have an hourly raffle and Doc's famous free hot dogs. Meet local fire fighters and see the new ambulance.
<sh>Celebrating 35 Years
<bt>The McLean Symphony is celebrating the 35th anniversary of musical contributions to area communities by Music Director Dingwall Fleary. Fleary has been honored with numerous recognitions and awards during his career. The McLean Symphony will dedicate the opening concert to Fleary on Oct. 14 in the McLean Community Center Alden Theater, 1234 Ingleside Ave. Guest artists for this program are violinists Marc Ramirez and Olivia Hajioff.
