Congregation Yad Shalom, located in Centreville, provides a variety of programs in a traditional format with a modern flair. Inquiries about participation in these activities are welcomed by the local community.

* Ask about the K–2 Hebrew school for the children. A new format and new classes continue for the winter semester.

* Join the congregation for a Friday night Shabbat service with Cantor Zucker on April 13 at 8 p.m. at Little Rocky Run Community Center # 1 — a new location.

* Have a wonderful time as the adult members gather for a terrific evening of fun an games on Saturday, April 21 from 7–10 p.m.

* Bring the children for a celebration of Israel on Saturday, April 21 at 9 a.m. at Little Rocky Run Community Center # 3.

* Enjoy a Shabbat dinner with the Congregation on Friday, May 4 at 7 p.m. at Little Rocky Run Community Center # 3, followed by a service with Cantor Zucker.

Oakton Baptist Church of Chantilly will present the Southern Gospel Musical group, "The Announcers," on Sunday, April 22 at 6 p.m. A free will offering will be received. The church is at the corner of Sullyfield Circle and Route 50, 14001 Sullyfield Circle, Chantilly. Call 703-631-1799.

Ox Hill Baptist Church will open its doors on Saturday, April 28 at 7 p.m. for the traveling Bluefield College ensembles. The show is open and free to all.
