“Passages” is a 10-session program for people experiencing the pain of separation or divorce. It will be held on Thursdays, 7-9 p.m., beginning Sept. 13. The group will be held at Vienna Presbyterian Church, 124 Park St. NE, Vienna. Call the church at 703-938-9050.

McLean Presbyterian Church will offer English as a Second Language classes for adults on Wednesdays 9:30-11:45 a.m., beginning Sept. 19 and Thursdays 7-9 p.m., beginning Sept. 20. Registration for the classes will be Wednesday, Sept. 12, 9:30-11 a.m. and Thursday, Sept. 13, 7-8:30 p.m. Tuition is free, but a one-time fee of $15 is required to register. On the eve of autumn, Saturday, Sept. 22, McLean’s Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, 1545 Chain Bridge Road, will celebrate the arrival of the new season at its seventh annual Fall Festival. The general public is invited to join the congregation 6-9 p.m. at the festival, which will feature a taste of Bavaria — a traditional bratwurst dinner and sound of the Kings Park German Band.
