Seven students competed in the Greenbriar East Elementary Geography Bee finalists on Dec. 7, sponsored by the National Geographic Society. These students correctly answered geography questions in the preliminary competition held in their classroom.
Congratulations go to first-place winner, Joseph Laurel; second place, Christopher Jeong; third place, Jered Cummins; and runners up, Gopal Hari, Sophia Lam, Sammi Lundberg and Sasho Yanakiev. Joseph Laurel will now have the opportunity to compete at the state level.
