<sh>Attempted Burglary on Merrimac

<bt>On Thursday, Jan. 25, an 18-year-old woman called police at around 1:30 a.m. because her ex-boyfriend was attempting to break into her home in the 7100 block of Merrimac Drive. According to police, the man was attempting to open the back door as officers arrived. He then fled on foot. A warrant for attempted burglary was obtained and Derek Young, 18, of Enterprise Avenue was arrested at his home.

<sh>MCA Board To Meet

<bt>The McLean Citizens Association Board of Directors will hold its monthly meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 7 at 8 p.m. at the McLean Community Center, 1234 Ingleside Avenue. The following resolutions will be discussed: ratification of of the resolution regarding minimum lot width requirement, a draft resolution on Dolley Madison Library, and a draft resolution on airport noise. The next MCA Board meeting date will be March 7.
