Fun Run. George Washington Birthday Classic 10-K Race and 2-K Fun Run benefiting the Alexandria Police Youth Camp will begin at 8:30 a.m. Begins just steps from the Eisenhower Avenue Metro Station. The registration fee is $22 per runner (after Feb. 10 it is $25). The 2-K Fun Run fee is $10 for the first runner ($5 for each additional family member with a maximum entry fee of $20). Walking with Washington. Bob Madison, a volunteer at the Alexandria Archaeology Museum who has researched more than 140 places in Alexandria associated with George Washington, will lead a 15-block guided tour of Old Town exploring Washington's 50-year association with Alexandria. These tours afford the opportunity to see Alexandria as Washington saw it, through the places he frequented when he was here.
