Kristin Adderson assumed her role as Marketing Manager for the Hiltons of Washington, D.C., where she assists the marketing and sales team efforts for the Capital Hilton and Hilton Washington hotels. Adderson most recently held the position of Communications Director for the Rosslyn Business Improvement District, where she was responsible for launching a new full-color magazine, ROSSLYN, distributed in Arlington.

Steven M. Harden, AIA, has joined The Lukmire Partnership, a nationally-recognized architectural firm, as a registered project architect. In this role, Harden will be responsible for managing projects from programming through construction, working out of the firm’s new Annapolis office. The Lukmire Partnership, headquartered in Arlington, has provided a wide range of architectural services to private, institutional, and public clients for more than 40 years.

Two Arlington and Alexandria firms have won Marketing madness Awards. Airlines Reporting Corporation (ARC) in Arlington; Brand Resources Group in Alexandria; Henninger Media Services in Arlington; O’Keefe and Company in Alexandria.

BridgeStreet Worldwide of Arlington is bringing Karen Guinan, a long time hotel management and customer service professional, on board to serve as the General Manager for the Washington, D.C. area. Guinan has been instrumental in bolstering financial and customer service successes in hotels along the east coast for more than 15 years. Guinan is currently involved with several community-service organizations such as the Big Brothers Big Sisters of America and American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA).

Kyle Evans, a resident of Arlington, has been chosen to receive the highest community service award from his employer, Booz Allen Hamilton. Evans will be recognized with an "Involvement and Impact" award for his volunteer work on behalf of numerous organizations, which include Paul Public Charter School, So Others Might Eat, ALS Association and Greater DC Cares. Evans is a Senior Consultant at Booz Allen and works in the firm’s office at 8255 Greensboro Drive in McLean.

First Edition Toastmasters meets every Friday at noon at 1300 Wilson Blvd., 11th Floor, Rosslyn. The diverse membership of this Toastmasters chapter includes small business owners and employees with a variety of government agencies and associations. The Arlington Chapter of Business Networking International (BNI) meets for breakfast every Tuesday from 7:30-9 a.m. at the Arlington Holiday Inn, 4610 N. Fairfax Drive. BNI leverages the power of word-of-mouth marketing and offers members the opportunity to share ideas, contacts and referrals as they grow their business. The Lukmire Partnership, headquartered in Arlington, is a nationally-recognized architectural firm which recently completed the transformation of an old library in Odenton, Md. into Anne Arundel County’s newest Senior Center. Dedicated as the Catherine L. O’Malley Senior Annex, the 7,000-square-foot facility was designed to accommodate the needs of a growing senior population, offering health, recreational and social opportunities. Amenities include a fitness center, an arts and crafts room, computers, and more.

SkyBuilt Power, the leading renewable energy systems integration company, has been granted a U.S. patent for its innovative, renewable energy Mobile Power Station (MPS). SkyBuilt Power is located in Arlington.

Glenn Lewis is now Managing Broker for McEnearney Associates’ Arlington office at 4720 Lee Highway (703-525-1900), a move he has made after serving as Assistant Broker of McEnearney Associates’ Old Town Alexandria office for the last two years.
