Representatives on hand to answer students' questions.

Loudoun County Public Schools will hold its annual Diversity in Education Fair Wednesday, March 21, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., at Dominion High School in Sterling.

College, university and career representatives from more than 100 institutions and organizations will be on hand to answer students' questions about admission requirements, retention rates and extracurricular activities. The majority of schools in attendance are from the Virginia area, including Virginia Tech, University of Virginia, Old Dominion University and Christopher Newport University. There will be also be career representatives on hand, including attorneys, real estate agents, law enforcement workers and U.S. Army, Marines and Navy representatives to answer questions about career opportunities after high school and college.

Counselors and parent liaisons from Loudoun County’s high schools have made sure minority parents and students have been invited to the college fair by sending out fliers and making phone calls.

Busses will be provided from Loudoun Valley High School at 5 p.m., Harmony Intermediate School at 5:40 p.m., and Broad Run, Heritage, Loudoun County, Briar Woods, Freedom, Stone Bridge and Park View high schools at 6 p.m.
