Brambleton Gets Bookstore, Theater

Barnes and Nobles announces plans for first store in Loudoun.

Brambleton residents will not have to travel quite as far for entertainment in the future. The community announced March 5 that bookseller Barnes and Noble will open its first Loudoun location in Brambleton Town Center. Infrastructure on the chosen site is being completed so Barnes and Noble can begin construction. The bookstore is scheduled to be opened next year.

The Brambleton Town Center will also be home to the county's second movie theater. Consolidated Theatres plans to open a 16-theater complex in the center this spring.

With almost 2,000 families living in the Brambleton community, Kim Adams, Brambleton director of marketing, said the center will be home to a variety of businesses.

"A diverse range of builder products appeals to families at every stage of their lives," she said. "We are typically speaking to a new 100 families each week."

In the 6,240-home community, the town center will have 300,000 square feet of retail space along with Brambleton's 20,000 square feet of office space, 1,760,000 square feet of industrial space and 18-hole golf course. Brambleton's development is scheduled to be completed in 2015.
