The Baskin Robbins in Centrewood Plaza held its 31 Cents Scoop Night last Wednesday, May 2. Some 45 firefighters and volunteers lent their scooping skills by selling 1,896 scoops. The corporate Baskin Robbins donated $100,000 to the Fallen Fire Fighters Association as well. The Centrewood Square store owner is Rayman Hamid who also owns the Baskin Robbins in Manassas-Wellington Station. Centreville Volunteer Fire Department's very own Pete Kirby lent his talents to the cause as well.

Raynor van der Merwe, artistic director of Encore Theatrical Arts Project in Chantilly (ETAP), will be honored by Celebrating African Motherhood at the C.A.M. Soiree 2007.
