Why did you choose this particular business?
Twist of fate
Why did you choose to work for yourself rather than as an employee for someone else?
I was always told I could be an artist. At the time it seemed like the right thing to do. Plus, it's fun.
What have you learned from being in business?
That it may sound glamorous but it takes lots of hard work and perseverance.
Share an anecdote of a challenging or humoous experience or biggest surprise learned from working your business:
It's always great fun and very rewarding to take "out of towners" on a tour of public work on display at the Lincoln and Jefferson Memorials and various museums in town.
What have been the advantages and or disadvantages of operating a business in Alexandria?
It's as great location for a business such as ours to be so close to Wasington D.C. There are many associations that have their national offices here.
