Burke Farmers Market begins 2007 season at V.R.E. lot.

A sure sign of spring’s arrival is the opening of farmers markets across the Fairfax County. The 2007 Burke Farmers Market opened for the season on Saturday morning, May 5, at the Virginia Railway Express parking lot, 5671 Roberts Parkway, Burke. The market is open Saturdays through Oct. 27 , from 8 a.m.-12 p.m.

Last week, two other nearby markets also opened for business. The Downtown Coalition Farmers Market is open Saturdays, from 8 a.m.-1 p.m., at West and Main streets in the City of Fairfax.

The Wakefield Farmers Market is open Wednesdays, through Oct. 31, 2-6 p.m. Wakefield Park, 8100 Braddock Road, Annandale.
