</b> Carlyle House presents an exhibit on the mourning practices of 18th-century Virginia called "Death Comes to Carlyle House: An 18th Century Virginia Home in Mourning" is your chance to take the beautiful history of Carlyle House under the guise of an authentic state of mourning. The Art League in the Torpedo Factory is holding an off-site sculpture exhibition "The Art League Sculptors at Washington Square" in Washington Square's atrium, 1050 Connecticut Ave., N.W., Washington, D.C., through Nov. 2. </b>The von Breahler ltd/Gallery presents the works of Yuri Kokoyanin. The Gallery has special interest n Russian-born artist. Kokoyanin paints the mundane in a new light. "Salon Eight Presents: an Exhibition of Painting," a new art exhibit featuring landscapes, still life's and an array of botanical subjects will be on display at the American Horticultural Society's River Farm, 7931 East Boulevard Drive, through Jan. 4. The show includes work by eight locally-known artists, working in different media, who share in common the artist's passion for interpreting personal perceptions through expressive choice of color, line, form, composition, and perspective.
