The Loudoun Volunteer Services Board has established scholarships for graduating seniors from each Loudoun County public and private high school and from the homeschool community. The scholarships recognize individuals who have made significant contributions to the county community through their volunteer efforts. Different from traditional scholarships, the Loudoun Volunteer Servicesï¿½ student scholarships place more emphasis on a demonstrated interest in, and service to, the community than on academic or athletic excellence.
Students should submit their scholarship applications to Loudoun Volunteer Services, MSC 03, 1 Harrison St., S.E., Leesburg, VA 20175, by the close of business May 1. Loudoun Countyï¿½s annual Youth Fest is set for Saturday, June 21, from 3-9 p.m., at Belmont Country Club. The Loudoun Youth Initiative is accepting applications for exhibitors. A limited number of spaces will be available. Exhibitors must offer services or programs for youth, ages 12-17 and be a nonprofit (501c3) agency. Get Caught Reading Contest. Join in National Photography Month in May and Get Caught Reading Month. Produced by the Office of Public Information, the guide is a comprehensive handbook of information about services provided by the county government, as well as services provided by other governmental and nongovernmental agencies.
