The Herndon Community Center has everything from swim classes to dance classes to special interest trips to summer camps. Besides the classes that are offered there is also a gym facility as well as a swimming pool. "We believe that the community center is one of the core amenities provided by the Town of Herndon where communities can come together for recreation and social need; anything that helps the people of Herndon feel a sense of community," said Cindy Roeder the director of Parks and Recreation.
For teenagers the community center provides an after school teen program after school, from 2:30 until 6 p.m. During this time the teenagers have exclusive access to the teen room, the game room and the gym. The center also holds monthly middle school dances and quarterly trips for teens.
