This year’s Drive for Charity Event held May 15 raised $198,000. This amount when added to the monies raised in the previous two years totals more than $565,000 that Toll Road Investors Partnership II, L.P. (TRIP II), the owner of the Dulles Greenway, has donated to March of Dimes, the

Loudoun Chapter of the Special Olympics, Loudoun Abused Women’s Shelter (LAWS), Fresh Air/Full Care, Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy and the Dulles Greenway Citizenship Award.

Virginia Tech's Marion duPont Scott Equine Medical Center has added an ophthalmology service through an alliance with Scottsdale, Ariz., based Eye Care for Animals. The new offering, which became available March 4, is provided by Dr. Gwendolyn Lynch, a board certified veterinary ophthalmologist and associate doctor at Eye Care for Animals' Leesburg location.

Arthur Bronsord, physical therapist announces the opening of his new practice, State of the Art Physical Therapy. Bronsord has been in practice since 1986 and working in Loudoun County since 1989. Nova Medical, a primary-care practice with offices in Ashburn, Sterling, Leesburg and Warrenton, is now offering its employees the opportunity to become company owners. The company has implemented an Employee Stock Ownership Plan, making 100 percent of Nova Medical, including Nova Medical Group, Nova Urgent Care and The Medical Spa at Nova, owned by its employees.

ThanksUSA, a nonpartisan charitable organization, and Intelligent Decisions Inc., a leading federal systems integrator and professional services company headquartered in Ashburn, teamed up to support service men and women, but also their families.

Intelligent Decisions Inc. served as the premier sponsor for ThanksUSA’s VIP golf tournament at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Club in Gainesville, Va. Ninety percent of tournament proceeds will go to ThanksUSA’s scholarship program supporting children and spouses of service men and women in the United States armed forces.

Inova Health System announces the promotion of James Rohrbaugh as assistant vice president operations and chief growth officer at Inova Loudoun Hospital. Rohrbaugh will have executive oversight for several hospital departments including security, plant operations, guest services, food and environmental services, as well as oversight of Loudoun Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and physical medicine and rehabilitation. In addition, Rohrbaugh will have oversight of clinical services at Inova Loudoun Medical Campus Leesburg and will serve as the primary contact for the revitalization of the former Cornwall campus and Inova’s planned medical services in Lovettsville, Purcellville and Middleburg.
