Mount Vernon High School has hired Luke Sable as its new baseball coach. Sable is a former Mount Vernon baseball player and later played Division I baseball at George Mason University. He was then drafted by the Texas Rangers and played at all levels of the Rangers organization A through AAA.
Sable has experience coaching in the Northern Virginia Travel Baseball League and took a little league team to the Little League World Series in 2006. He is currently an associate scout for the New York Mets organization.
