The invitation read "Come dressed as your favorite actor or movie character." It came on the announcement to the monthly dance of the Friday Nighters Dancing Club held their monthly dance in Mount Vernon. Sally Fields arrived on the arm of Groucho Marx followed by Marlon Brando and his beautiful wife. The members and guests danced to the live music of The Family. The dancing club has been active in the area since 1945. Monthly dances are held throughout the year, usually on the second Friday of the month with the exception of July and August.
