Wachovia Bank, N.A., a Wells Fargo Company, announced that it has named three experienced retail bank leaders as community bank presidents for the Greater Washington, D.C. region.

Community bank presidents oversee retail store locations for a defined geography. They also partner closely with community leaders to bring Wachovia’s community resources — including philanthropy and employee volunteerism — to benefit their designated regions.

The three community bank presidents are:

* Erik Kodjanian, Greater Washington, D.C. North. Kodjanian, who oversees 47 stores from Washington, D.C. to Montgomery County, formerly served as retail bank director for Greater Washington, D.C. An area banker since 1990, Kodjanian joined Wachovia in 1998.

* Joe Prezioso, Greater Washington, D.C. West. Prezioso, who oversees 47 stores from Purcellville to Alexandria, also served as retail bank director for Washington, D.C. prior to his appointment to community bank president. Prezioso joined Wachovia in 1997. In addition to serving the Washington, D.C. market, he also managed retail banking in Wachovia’s Texas expansion market.

* Michelle Wright, Greater Washington, D.C. South. Wright, who oversees 40 stores in Fairfax County, Prince William County and Prince George's County, Md., formerly served as Wachovia’s retail banking director for Arizona. Previously, she served as regional sales leader in Atlanta and Baltimore for Wachovia. She joined the company in 2000.
