John Hopkins University’s Whiting School of Engineering will be offering its summer Engineering Innovation program for high school students at the university’s Montgomery County Campus in Rockville. Dillon J. White, son of Eugenia and Joseph White of Potomac, a first-year business administration major, was named to the dean’s list at St. Michael’s College.

Seung-Hee Sung, from Wootton High School, was the first place winner of the JHU-MCC and VisArts Third Annual High School Student Art contest. The following students were also winners: Wootton: Daulton Kao, Yein (Lana) Lim, Diana Chou, Joyce Yu, Tiffany Jen and Lisa Ou. From Churchill High School: Julia Syi and Thomas Laprade.

Jennifer Ilana Saber, a junior international business and management major at Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pa., has been named to the dean's list for the fall 2009 semester. A graduate of Winston Churchill High School, she is the daughter of Chuck and Leslie Saber of Potomac.
