American Association of University Women of Reston and Herndon will meet at a new location, the ArtSpace of Herndon at 750 Center Street in Herndon, at 10 a.m. The featured speaker for this public meeting will be Elizabeth Vandenburg of Reston. Vandenburg, the AAUW Mid-Atlantic representative to the National Science Foundation’s "National Girls Collaborative Project", will discuss this project and findings of AAUW’s national research report: "Where the Girls Are: The Facts About Gender Equity in Education", a review of girls’ educational achievement and the progress of boys and girls over 35 years.
