Fairfax County is recruiting Meals on Wheels volunteers to deliver meals to the county’s older residents. Opportunities are available throughout the county and volunteers are matched to programs in or near their own neighborhoods. The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program is seeking volunteers to deliver free tax preparation services at no cost to working families and individuals. Volunteers contribute a few hours weekly during tax season to help prepare tax returns, or serve as greeters, screeners, site coordinators and interpreters.
