<b>Chargers Roll Over Hayfield</b>

The Chantilly High School varsity football team celebrated Homecoming in a dominating fashion by defeating Hayfield Secondary School 49-14.

"We came out and got up 28-0 in the first quarter," Head Coach Mike Lalli said. "We just played from there and got everyone in the game."

Lalli mentioned senior running backs Mike Farris and Jimmy Hicks as standouts for the Chargers.

Farris finished the night with 105 rushing yards and two touchdowns. Hick had 84 rushing yards and one rushing touchdown.

It was also a stand out night for quarterback Carson Romine who threw for 205 yards and had two touchdowns.

"It was [Romine’s] best game by far," Lalli said.

The Chargers continue their season against Robinson Secondary School (5-0) on Oct. 9.

<b>Bulldogs Fall to Woodson</b>

The Westfield High School varsity football team dropped to 1-4 following its 28-7 loss to W.T. Woodson High School on Oct. 2.

The Bulldogs top offensive producers were running back Kendall Anderson who ran for 57 yards on 11 carries and wide receiver Aaron Scoville who caught nine passes for 61 yards.

The Bulldogs next opponent is Concorde District rival Oakton High School (3-2) on Oct. 9.

<b>Boys Basketball Skills Clinics</b>

The Chantilly High School boys basketball program will be hosting a fall skills clinic at Chantilly High School for athletes from seventh to 12th grade.

Seventh and eighth grade boys will have sessions from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Oct. 11, Oct. 18 and Oct. 25.

Ninth grade sessions will be held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on, Oct. 11, Oct. 18 and Oct. 25.

Sessions for 10th through 12th grade players will be held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Oct. 10, Oct. 10, Oct. 17 and Oct. 24.

<b>Girls Basketball Skills Sessions</b>

The Chantilly High School girls basketball program will be holding a fall skills clinic at Chantilly High school on Oct. 10, Oct. 17, Oct. 24 and Oct. 31 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. for players ages 12-18.

The cost for each session is $20.

The sessions will focus on teaching basketball skills such as shooting, dribbling, passing and other skills. All teaching will be conducted by the Chantilly High School girls basketball staff.
