<b>Boxing Mom Victorious</b>

Mother-of-two and local boxer Jennifer Salinas successfully defeated Caitlin Dance on Sept. 26 at the George Mason Patriot Center.

Salinas won the bout by split decision. The judges scored the bout, 58-56 for Salinas, 57-56 for Salinas and 58-56 for Dance.

Salinas record now improves to 11-1. Her opponent, Caitlin Dance falls to 2-6 with one knockout.

<b>Boys Basketball Skills Clinics</b>

The Chantilly High School boys basketball program will be hosting a fall skills clinic at Chantilly High School for athletes from seventh to 12th grade.

Seventh and eighth grade boys will have sessions from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Oct. 4, Oct. 11, Oct. 18 and Oct. 25.

Ninth grade sessions will be held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sept. 27, Oct. 4, Oct. 11, Oct. 18 and Oct. 25.

Sessions for 10th through 12th grade players will be held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sept. 26, Oct. 3, Oct. 10, Oct. 10, Oct. 17 and Oct. 24.

<b>Girls Basketball Skills Sessions</b>

The Chantilly High School girls basketball program will be holding a fall skills clinic at Chantilly High school on Oct. 10, Oct. 17, Oct. 24 and Oct. 31 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. for players ages 12-18.

The cost for each session is $20.

The sessions will focus on teaching basketball skills such as shooting, dribbling, passing and other skills. All teaching will be conducted by the Chantilly High School girls basketball staff.

<b>Lacrosse Clinic</b>

The Paul VI High School women’s lacrosse team is hosting girls youth lacrosse clinics at Paul VI on Oct. 3 and Oct. 4.

The cost for a single clinic is $35, $60 for two, $80 for three and $100 for all four sessions.
