DC Design House Opens April 10

The Third Annual DC Design House will open its doors to the public April 10 through May 9, and exhibit the talents of the area’s premier designers. Ticket proceeds will benefit the Children’s Hospital Foundation of the Children’s National Medical Center.

Over the past month, 20 interior design experts transformed 3911 Bradley Lane in Chevy Chase, Md., into a space that boasts the very best in home renovation and design ideas. Hours are Tuesday – Friday: 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.; Saturday - Sunday, 12 p.m. – 5 p.m.

With over 10,000 square-feet, this year’s Georgian style country home has long been considered a social landmark, once serving as residence to the Ambassadors of Mauritius and Uruguay and as the site for President Harry S. Truman’s inauguration party.

"For our third year, we wanted to select a home whose historical significance, prestige and living spaces would beautifully complement the talents of our chosen designers," says Skip Singleton, DC Design House Co-Chair and Principal Broker of DC Living Real Estate, LLC. "This year’s designs are poised to be our best yet, and we couldn’t be happier to create a visual and inspirational experience for visitors that will in turn benefit the Children’s National Medical Center."

Tickets are $20 per person for a one-time visit during open hours, and are available in advance at www.dcdesignhouse.com.
