— On Wednesday, Jan. 25, more than 100 Churchill Road second and fifth graders, their teachers and family members made sandwiches for Martha’s Table, a non-profit organization in Washington, D.C. that serves sandwiches to those in need. Organized by Churchill Road PTA’s Community Service Committee co-chairs Marta Bascom, Robin Hoeymans and Sarah Walter, with donations of bread, meat and cheese from CRS students and their families, the volunteers were able to make more than 1,500 sandwiches.
