Police Seek Help in Identifying Robber

The Fairfax County Police Department, in cooperation with the Prince William County and Manassas Park police departments, is investigating a string of four, recent armed robberies involving a white female. Authorities believe the same person may have committed all of them.

In each case, the suspect was described as white, in her early to mid-20s, 5 feet 3 inches to 5 feet 7 inches tall. She wore a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans or dark-colored pants, and she displayed a silver or black handgun.

The first robbery happened Dec. 29, 2011, at a Shell Gas station at 13704 Lee Jackson Memorial Highway in Chantilly. According to police, around 10:30 p.m., a woman entered the business, displayed a small silver handgun and demanded cash. The clerk complied and the robber fled in a dark-colored station wagon.

The second robbery occurred the same date, about 40 minutes later, at the 7-Eleven store at 8521 Centreville Road in Manassas Park. Around 11:09 p.m., a woman entered the store, showed a black handgun and demanded cash. But before the clerk could comply, a customer approached the store and the suspect fled to a car parked nearby.

The third robbery was on Jan. 1 at a 7-Eleven at 10740 Coverstone Drive in Manassas, and the fourth was Jan. 10 at an Exxon Gas station at 7519 Leesburg Pike in Falls Church. In both these incidents, the female robber got away with cash.

In the last robbery, the suspect wore a black mask to cover the lower portion of her face. She’s also been linked to a small, dark-colored, station-wagon-style vehicle, similar to a Subaru Forrester or Outback. Surveillance video and photos may be viewed at http://youtu.be/qy_YgzdfQ_0.
