Outstanding Radford Student

— Deanna Marie Doyle of Alexandria was named the 2012 Outstanding Graduating Student from the Department of Art in the College of Visual and Performing Arts (CVPA) at Radford University. Doyle worked as a museum intern — first at the Glencoe History Museum in Radford where she worked on the inventory data base, next at the Lee-Fendall House Museum and Garden in Alexandria, where she developed educational programs for scouting troops and led guided tours and most recently at the U.S. Navy Museum in Washington, D.C., where she was involved in teaching and developing educational activities related to the museum’s exhibitions and was responsible for the creation and organization of two week-long summer camps: “Rocket Camp” and “Engineering Camp” for primary school-aged children.
